1. Overburning zone: when the laser power is too large, the heat input is too large, so that the melting range of the workpiece is greater than the range that the high-pressure airflow can drive away, and the molten metal fails to be blown away by the airflow, resulting in overburning.

2, no defect area: that is, the laser power in the appropriate range, this time the cutting effect is good, known as no defect area.

3. Slag hanging area: when the laser power is too small and the heat is insufficient, the temperature of the molten product closer to the lower edge will be lower, and the viscosity will be higher, thus failing to be removed by high-pressure airflow and remaining in the lower edge of the cutting surface will produce slag hanging. In severe cases, no incisions can be made.

Laser cutting machine cutting quality evaluation standards

For the laser cutting of plates with a cutting thickness of more than 2mm, the roughness distribution of the cutting surface is uneven, and there is a big difference along the thickness direction. The variation has two characteristics:

1. The morphology of the cutting surface is divided into two distinct parts. The surface of the upper part is smooth and smooth, with neat and fine cutting stripes and small roughness. The lower cutting stripe is disordered, the surface is not smooth, and the roughness value is large. The upper part is characterized by the direct action of laser beam, while the lower part is characterized by the scour of molten metal.

Whether it is continuous laser cutting or pulse laser cutting, the cutting surface shows the upper and lower parts. The difference is that the upper cutting fringe has a corresponding relationship with the pulse frequency: the higher the frequency, the finer the fringe, and the smaller the surface roughness.

2. The surface roughness on the cutting surface is generally uniform and does not change with the height; The surface roughness of the lower region varies with the height, and the closer to the lower edge, the greater the surface roughness value.
